Jonathan Black  is from the Douglas Mesa, Utah Community of basket weavers. He learned from his mother, Mary Holiday Black, who revived the Navajo art of basket weaving. Black is known for his brightly-colored dyes and pictorial designs of butterflies, horses, birds, corn and Rainbow Yei figures.
