1910 Remake Rug by Julia Pete
About the Artist: Julia and Fannie Pete are sisters from the Dinè reservation south of Farmington, NM. They learned traditional Navajo rug weaving from their mother, Bessie Pete. Julia learned at age six and has been weaving since about 1980. Fannie weaves all rug styles, whereas Julia does not weave Yei and Sandpainting designs.
