Turquoise Cluster Pendant by Curtis Pete
About the Artist: Curtis Pete was born in 1961 to a Diné father and Hopi mother. He was raised by his grandparents on the Diné Reservation. He attended Tuba City Boarding School and Phoenix College. At 27, he learned silversmithing from his uncle, Robert Yellowhair. Pete’s work features large stones surrounded by stampwork or silver overlay of traditional Native symbols.
