Artist Statement: "I use traditional sinew thread and strip each piece into thin strands to braid into each 'chakra' earring. I make my own silver ear hooks: bending, filing and shaping them each by hand."
About the Artist: Jerilynn Yazzie learned to make jewelry from her mom, grandmothers, relatives, her community growing up, and in school. She specializes in working with shells, turquoise, unique gemstones, juniper berry seeds, and vintage nickel coins.
