Prehistoric Ceramics of the Mesa Verde Region, No. 5 1974
Museum of Northern Arizona Ceramic Series, No. 5
Compiled: David A. Breternitz, Arthur H. Rohn, Jr., and Elizabeth A. Morris
From the Foreward: "In 1955 Dr. Colton began a revision and expansion of the Handbook under the title, Museum of Northern Arizona Ceramic Series, a periodical compilation of type descriptions, in looseleaf form, to facilitate its being kept up-to-date. This work was continued for only about three years, but at the Ceramic Conference of 1972 a decision was reached to revive the Series. The Museum undertook the tasks of editing and publication, while numerous individuals pledged their aid in the preparation of manuscripts according to an agreed format. The present volume on the pottery of the Mesa Verde area is the first in this new series..." Watson Smith, General Editor
