About the Artist: Shanna Burbank is a Navajo Rug weaver who resides in Flagstaff, AZ. She was born Shanna Tisi, the daughter of Lee and Freida Manymules of Bittersprings, AZ, and granddaughter of Charley and Mary Tisi of Cedar Ridge, AZ. When she was 8, her mother and grandmothers taught her to weave, dye and roll the wool, set up their looms and clean the finished rugs. Burbank weaves various rug designs and makes Navajo dresses.
