About the Artist: Jeannette Dale, a Diné silversmith, learned the art from her mother, Juanita Begay, in 1973. Dale found that her former job cutting computer chips helped to make her work stand out. Her jewelry features unique stones set in stamped silver with high polishes. She always leaves a mark to show that the jewelry is handmade. Dale was born in Shiprock, NM, in 1949.
