About the Artist: Ralph Sena (b. 1943) a Hispanic silversmith, grew up near Santa Fe, NM, where he was a draftsman and engineer for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. His family tradition of blacksmithing influenced Sena's focus on metal work. His culture, Catholic symbols, and exposure to Native American artisans, influenced his designs. Ralph Sena is known for his filigree work, sacred hearts, silver beads, pomegranates and polished stone settings.
