FAQ
Do we appraise items?
By official MNA policy, MNA staff are prohibited from authenticating, appraising or otherwise evaluating any object for donation, insurance, sale or other purposes. In cases involving tax-deductible gifts to MNA, Internal Revenue Service regulations require that appraisals be conducted by a qualified, disinterested party.
Please see our website for more information and appraisal resources.
Can we sell our merchandise at the Museum Shop?
Yes, however, please call or email in advance to find out if we are currently buying or consigning items. Call us at (928) 774.5211 ext. 208 or email us at shops@musnaz.org for more information. You must schedule an appointment when inquiring about selling or consigning your items to our shop.
Why do you not charge tax on items?
The Museum of Northern Arizona is a private, non-profit educational institution. The Museum Shop is a branch of the Museum of Northern Arizona therefore is tax-exempt.
What are the Museum Shop's hours?
Our hours are the same as the Museum of Northern Arizona's hours. Currently, we are open everyday from 10am to 5pm. Closed New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and December 24 and 25.
Do you need to pay to just go to the Museum Shop?
No, you do not need to pay if you intend to only visit the Museum Shop. Enter the museum normally and notify the front desk that you are only visiting the Museum Shop.
