Lester Abeyta, is from Kewa Pueblo (Santa Domingo), NM. He is best known for his stone slab earrings and beaded necklaces of shell and stone. The beads are often cut, ground and strung in graduated sizes with the narrow taper at the neck. Abeyta learned from his mother Delia and father Richard. He believes that traditional jewelry is a link between humans and the earth around us.
