About the Artist: Wallace Nez is an accomplished Navajo potter. He began to make pottery at a young age and has refined his artform over the years, finding great success along the way having won numerous awards. He uses a technique called sgraffito, in which designs are etched directly into the pottery. This piece features intricate designs and two colorful butterflies. It is signed on the bottom with his name.
