About the Artist: Vivian Descheny weaves traditional Navajo rugs in intricate and colorful designs, such as the Burntwater pattern. She also creates models of looms with partial weavings. Descheny is the third generation of master weavers from White Cone, AZ. Her weaving was influenced by her paternal grandmother, Annie B. Williams. Descheny is the owner of Southwest Weavers in Flagstaff, AZ.
